THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA
THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE
Andrew Adamson
(2005)
For Narnia! and for Aslaaaaaan!!!
First of all, I haven’t read the book. When I first saw the trailer of THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE, I immediately felt that this movie must be good. And it was really good! The movie impressed me with stunning visuals, sharp dialogue and majestic score. I guess there were many changes which were differed from the novel, but it didn’t make the movie less interesting at all.
Four main children were really good, especially Georgie Henley (in a role of Lucy Pevensie). Jadis, the white witch was incredible (I’ve been her fan since she put her foot on Keanu’s face in “Constantine”.Aand her in-battle actions with two swords in her hands was amazingly elegant.
This movie is highly recommended. And there were scenes that I almost cried!
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was adapted from the first-published book in a series of seven fantasy novels for children written by C.S. Lewis. Though it was published first in line, it was not actually the beginning of the story. This series is considered a classic of children’s literature. More than 95 million copies of the books have been sold in 41 languages.
P.S. Don’t miss the trailer of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. Beautiful Keira Knightley is back!
