Resident Evil: Afterlife

The fourth installment of Resident Evil series, this is the sequel to Resident Evil: Extinction. The film starts right after the Extinction ended. Alice has been searching around the globe to find remaining survivors. She travels to the promised land as it has been broadcasting through radio wave, where there are food, shelters, medicine, and infection free. But when she arrives, the place is deserted. There is only one survivor there who turns out to be Claire Redfield, unfortunately she is suffering from memory loss. Together they roam to Los Angeles to find more survivors while Umbrella Corporation is on the move to stop them.

As a fan of the game Biohazard (バイオハザード) a.k.a. Resident Evil, this review is going to be based on total bias. There ain’t nothing much on the story as usual, nothing surprises me anymore. I have to admit that this film features all the cast members I like; Milla Jovovich as Alice, Ali Larter as Claire Redfield, and Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield who appears for the very first time in Resident Evil film series (The only wrong casting choice they made was Jill Valentine. She is not in this installment, but she will be back in RE5. Ugh!)

Overall, I like it more than Extinction. I hope there will be RE5.
Claire Redfield (Ali Larter) looks fabulous in bathroom fighting sequence.
Albert Wesker looks like Agent Smith from the Matrix, he also speaks like Agent Smith.
