Get the Gringo (also known as How I Spent My Summer Vacation) depicts the story of a gringo (a slang Spanish and Portuguese word used to denote foreigners, often from the United States) who is captured after being chased by American police near the border of Mexico. He knows that he would be caught so he drives the car across and lands on Mexican soil.
When the Mexican police sees the money in the backseat, he decides not to take the gringo to Mexican prison and keeps the money. The gringo soon learns his way in the prison and meets a special 10 year old boy. Gringo must find the way to survive the prison get his money back. But the owner of that money is also looking for his money.
The cast members are all good, especially the kid, Kevin Hernandez’s performance. The film is gripping and highly entertaining. Even though you can pretty much guess what the ending is gonna be like, it is still delightful to watch.
The kid was also good in the sitter. I wanna see this even more now
