Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), determined to make a meaningful impact, decides to cross from his timeline (Earth-10005) to the Sacred Timeline (Earth-616) with aspirations of joining the Avengers. Armed with an application, he approaches Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), hoping to secure a place among Earth’s mightiest heroes.

However, Happy quickly dismisses Wade’s request. He explains that Wade’s motivation – wanting to be a hero – fundamentally misaligns with the Avengers’ purpose. Happy emphasizes that the Avengers exist not because of personal desires for heroism, but because they’re needed by the people they protect.

After his rejection, Wade returns to his timeline and decides to retire from his Deadpool persona. He transitions into a more conventional life, becoming a used-car salesman alongside his friend Peter Wisdom (Rob Delaney).

On the day of his birthday party with his close friends, including his ex-girlfriend Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), Ellie (Brianna Hildebrand), Colossus (Stefan Kapičić), Yukio (Shioli Kutsuna), Dopinder (Karan Soni), and Peter, Wade is unexpectedly captured by agents from the Time Variance Authority (TVA) and brought before Mr. Paradox. This mysterious figure presents Wade with an enticing opportunity: the chance to become someone of significance in Earth-616, seemingly fulfilling Wade’s earlier ambitions.

However, Wade’s excitement is short-lived. Mr. Paradox reveals a troubling truth: Earth-10005’s timeline is deteriorating. The cause of this instability is the death of Logan, an anchor being whose absence has set the universe on a path toward inevitable collapse.

Mr. Paradox then reveals his plan to use a device called the “Time Ripper.” This ominous machine can instantly erase Earth-10005’s timeline from existence. He explains that he’s not content to wait for the natural deterioration of the timeline, which could take thousands or even millions of years. Instead, he’s opting for a quicker, more drastic solution. As for why he’s involving Wade in all this, Mr. Paradox claims it’s because he sees potential in him. He doesn’t want Wade’s talents and abilities to go to waste when Earth-10005 inevitably ceases to exist.

Wade, in a bold move, manages to steal Paradox’s TemPad and escape. His immediate course of action is to exhume Logan’s grave, harboring hope of somehow reviving him. However, this attempt proves futile as he discovers that Logan is indeed deceased, with only the Adamantium skeleton remaining in the grave.

Undeterred, Wade soon finds himself confronted by a team of TVA agents dispatched by Mr. Paradox to him down. In the ensuing conflict, Wade emerges victorious, eliminating the threat posed by the agents. With time running short and options limited, Wade devises a new strategy. Utilizing the stolen TemPad, he embarks on a journey across the multiverse. His mission is clear yet daunting: to locate a variant of Logan capable of intervening and saving his timeline from impending doom.

Directed by Canadian filmmaker Shawn Levy from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells, based on characters created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE is by far the most hilarious superhero film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, surpassing its first two previous films released in 2016 and 2018.
