(2010)
Date Night is a story of Phil (Steve Carell) and Claire (Tina Fey), a married couple from New Jersey with two children. They usually have weekly date night at a local steakhouse followed by a movie, it has become a routine just like everything else. Recently they find out that their best friends are getting a divorce.
They decide to do something out of ordinary on their regular date night by going to ‘The Claw’, a trendy restaurant in Mahattan but they cannot get a table. Impulsively Phil decides to take a reservation by pretending to be a couple who haven’t shown up at the restaurant. Halfway through their meal, they are approached by to men who believe that they are the couple that put reservation on this table as ‘The Tripplehorns’ and they want something that was believed to be stolen by The Tripplehorns. Phil and Claire must run and find a way to get what those guys want before it is too late. Their supposedly special date night has turned into a frightening and exciting night which they will never forget.
This film is such an amusing comedy with a little thrill to spice up the mood. It could be great, but unfortunately it isn’t. Tina fey is beautiful and lovely!
