The seventh studio album from an American recording artist who holds the record of best selling debut album by female artist in 1985, and the world’s best-selling soundtrack, The Bodyguard) in 1994. She once was known as “The Voice” in one of the 100 greatest singers of all time, listed by Rolling Stone magazine.
Seven years after “Just Whitney” was released in 2002, She has managed to come back once again with an album full of mixture of R&B, ballads, and dance. She brings her 90s style and successfully makes it sound 2009. Many prominent songwriters/producers such as, Alicia Keys, R. Kelly, and Akon have stepped in and helped Whitney create this album.
The album contains 11 tracks as follows; 1. Million Dollar Bill 2. Nothin’ But Love 3. Call You Tonight 4. I Look To You 5. Like I Never Left (ft. Akon) 6. A Song For You 7. I Didn’t Know My Own Strength 8. Worth It 9. For The Lovers 10. I Got You 11. Salute.
I didn’t expect much for this album at first since she lost her powerful crystalline voice long time ago. She can’t bring the house down like she used to. surprisingly, her vocal technique and music does blend together quite well, and it’s just grooving to listen to.
