A new American musical drama series, which the story in the first season is revolving around the creation of a new Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe. The show was created by Theresa Rebeck and co-produced by Steven Spielberg.

The cast members are brilliant, including Debra Messing (Best known for Grace from Will & Grace), Katharine McPhee (from the fifth season of American Idol), Megan Hilty, Jack Davenport, and Anjelica Huston.

The script is incredible. The production is top-notch. And episode finale is marvelously epic. Special guest stars include Uma Thurman, Bernadette Peters, and Nick Jonas. NBC already renewed Smash for a second season, but we have to wait until February 2013. Ugh!
