As a big fan of ピアノの森 (Piano no mori), the first animated film based on manga by 一色まこと (Isshiki Makoto) does surpass my expectations. The competition scene is super captivating, even better than the manga itself. Some of the scenes did not make it to the film version, but that doesn’t matter much since the essence of the story is all there in the film.
Piano no mori isn’t just a story about gifted child, it’s telling the audience that even talented person needs hard work, and it requires more than just talent. Practice or technique to create something extraordinary, you must put your heart into what you do.
I love this film… a thousand times more than のだめカンタービレ (Nodame Cantabile). The only thought in my mind when I finished watching Piano no mori the movie was ‘I wish it would never end.’ Thanks to @risingtop for sending me the film.
