Caféine
2009 | Christophe Willem
The second studio album from the winner of Nouvelle Star 2006. His debut album “Inventaire” debuted at #1 on French chart with over 600,000 copies sold. His sophomore album “Caféine” features deeper, darker and elusive electronic funky sound. He collaborates with a number of artists in this album; including Guy Chambers, Zazie, Jean-Pierre Pilot, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Skye.
All the up-tempo tracks in this album sound superb, such as “Berlin”, the lead single from album, “Sensitized”, the duet with Kylie Minogue (The original version by Serge Gainsbourg), “Plus que tout”, “Coffee”, “Trash”, “Tu te fous de nous”, and “Heartbox”.
This album could be extraordinaire! However, the ballad & slow-tempo songs are quite average. I bought the Deluxe Edition which comes with two discs and a gigantic photo booklet as you can see the size of it in the photo above. The second bonus disc contains five special tracks.
his songs sound chic! I think I like it.
