Matahari is a debut studio album from a French group L’Impératrice, founded in 2012. Current members consist of 6 musicians; Charles de Boisseguin (founder & keyboards), Hagni Gwon (keyboards), David Gaugué (bass guitar), Tom Daveau (drums), Achille Trocellier (electric guitar), and Flore Benguigui (vocal).

I’ve been following them since their 2014 EP titled, Sonate pacifique, which was incredible. Personally, I believe it’s one of their best songs.

Matahari contains 11 tracks as follows; Là-haut / Erreur 404 / Matahari / Paris / Vacances / Dreaming of You / Masques / Ma Starlight / Balade fantôme / Matahari (Le retour) / Entre-deux

However, their album isn’t released globally in digital streaming. I have no idea why, but at least it’s not available for streaming in Apple Music TH or Spotify TH. Only Dreaming of You EP, which features five tracks from Matahari is available on Apple Music and Spotify. Their CDs/Vinyls are available at Big Wax.

Anyway, my favorite tracks in Matahari are; Erreur 404, Paris, Vacances, Masques, Balade Fantôme, and Entre-deux.

They are currently on tour to promote Matahari album in France, Belgium, and Germany. I wish I could attend their concert someday. Asia Tour perhaps?
