Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
2010 | Mike Newell
This is a film based on video game of the same name. It tells the story of an orphan, Dastan in the Persian Empire adopted by the king and becomes a prince. He leads a troop into the sacred city of Alamut which is believed to be selling weapons to Persia’s enemies. But that is actually a part of a malicious plan to get Dagger of Time, the dagger that can turn back the time when releasing the sand.
Dastan is set up to kill the king. Before he can figure the things out, he is forced to flee the city as everyone believes that he is the one who plans the king’s murder.
I am a fan of the game Prince of Persia, so my opinion on the film would be heavily biased. The script somehow makes no sense but hey it is based on an action game, what would you expect? The casting, cinematography, the special effect are amazing. This probably the best film based on game I have ever seen. It is entertaining to watch, although I felt sleepy in the middle because lame and long dialogue.
