INSIDIOUS

The story depicts on Lambert family that has recently moved into a new house. Josh (Patrick Wilson) and Renai (Rose Byrne) have three children, Dalton (Ty Simpkins), Foster (Andrew Astor) and Kali (Brynn Bowie).

INSIDIOUS

One evening, Dalton sneaks into the attic where he accidentally falls from a old ladder and encounters a mysterious entity. The next day, he inexplicably slips into a coma. The doctor is unable to identify the cause why he does not wake up.

INSIDIOUS

Renai feels something strange about this particular house. She begins to see and hear unexplainable things. She finally convinces Josh to move out of the house. But it is not the house that is haunted, there is something far worse than they could possibly imagine.

INSIDIOUS

The plot is really interesting. They talks about a place called “The Further”, which is not hell, it is a place beyond the world of living where the souls are trapped in and unable to get out. Not to mention the ingenious use of light and sound to create something that makes people jump.

INSIDIOUS

I must admit that several scenes did scare the shit out off me, even though I have watched lots of horror films and believed I almost can anticipate all kind of stuff that’s gonna show up. Let’s just say it definitely is one of the really good grade-B horror films.

INSIDIOUS

INSIDIOUS premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on 14 September 2010. The film was theatrically released in the United States on 1 April 2011. The film’s box office performance was a remarkable feat, grossing over $100 million worldwide on a budget of just $1.5 million, making it one of the most successful low-budget films of all time.
