Precious is the story of Claireece “Precious” Jones, 16-year-old girl who lives in harem with her mother. Precious has been suffered from physical and metal abuse by her mother. She is now pregnant for the second time with her own father.
The film is based on the novel “Push” written by Sapphire, first published in 1996. The performance by lead actress Gabourey Sidibe is emotionally powerful indeed. All the cast bring such believable act. Unfortunately this kind of dramatic depressing mood is never my cup of tea.
