THE FOG
Rupert Wainwright
(2005)
If you’re planning to see this movie in the theatre (although I strongly suggest that you should avoid it at all cost), you should stop here. Otherwise, read on…
It’s a story of a group of helpless people who got slaughtered on their own ship by the hands of four men. These helpless people have waited like two or three hundred years to gain their mystical power (from The Dark Lord, I suppose?). Then they are ready to take back what is rightly belong to them.
Unfortunately, their evil power seems to work within the fog only, so they just have to unleash the fog around the town to find the heirs of those four men who killed them in the first place.
In one scene, there is an ugly form of a hand launching itself from kitchen-sink and kills an old woman with some kind of plague. Until the end of the movie, I still can’t possibly think what is the purpose of that hand?
Lastly, the main leading actress remembers that she was once a wife of the devil from the sea. So she is willing to give up her mortal life instantly and rejoins her husband in the holy crap paradise. Once the devil gets his wife back, he and his followers suddenly forget about revenge and disappear. The end!
The only thing that is good in this movie?
Selma Blair!
Well, after watching the trailer, I didn’t plan to watch this movie in the theater. Thanks god I thought correctly. The plot is really bad!
