The Dark Knight Rises
2012 | Christopher Nolan
Watched it since the first day of its release in cinema, July 19, but I had not been in the mood to blog anything. Anyway, The Dark Knight Rises is the third and final installment in Nolan’s Batman film trilogy. The film is epic but not as dark as I thought it could be. I believe it should be darker than Batman Begin, but it is not. And I have tried very hard not to compare it with the second installment, The Dark Knight, in which Joker rules as the most eccentric villain.
Christopher is known as one of the directors who constantly uses familiar faces who had worked with him before in the past. Again, in The Dark Knight Rises, you will see almost every leading cast members from his previous film, Inception. Yes, Inception of The Dark Knight.
The villain in The Dark Knight Rises is Bane who is always wearing a mask, but every time he appears on the scene I could not help but thinking of Rammstein and half-expected that he would breathe out fire in any second.
My favorite things in this film are Batpot and Catwoman (I also love that nobody in the film calls her Catwoman but we all know who she is.) It is just sad that this is the last installment, we need more of Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
