I switched from true ADSL to true Cable modem for half a month now. So far there is no problem with uploading or downloading speed. Well I’m not using it all the time anyway. The package starts from 699 Baht with 10 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload. It comes with Cisco cable modem model 2100R as in the photo above.
If you want to use wireless devices you will need another wireless router with internet port (WAN) to connect with the provided Cisco cable modem. The good thing is you don’t need telephone number to use cable modem (and of course no longer have to pay 107 baht for telephone line which I never use to call anyone.)
